Theodore Eliades graduated from the School of Dentistry, University of Athens, Greece, and completed the Orthodontic postgraduate program of the Ohio State University, USA, where he also earned a Master of Science degree. He obtained a Doctorate in Medical Sciences from the University of Athens, School of Medicine, and a PhD in Biomaterials from the University of Manchester, UK. He was Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, from 2005 until 2011, when he assumed the post of Professor and Director of the Clinic of Orthodontics Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Since 1996 he has maintained a private practice in Athens, Greece.

Thomas J. Hilton

Dr Thomas J Hilton, DMD, MS, earned his undergraduate degree at Bucknell University, BA (Chemistry). He attended Dental School University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, DMD. Dr Hilton had Postgraduate Training USAF Two-Year AEGD, Certificate. He attended OHSU School of Dentistry, MS (Biomaterials and Biomechanics). Tiziano Tealdo DDS, MS, CDT

Tiziano Tealdo, DDS, MS, CDT, obtained his certificate in dental laboratory technology in 1984. Dr Tealdo graduated in dentistry at the University of Turin, Italy in 1991. At the same university, he earned his postgraduate degree in oral surgery in 1993. Dr Tealdo obtained the university certificate in implantology at the University of Aix-Marseille, France, in 1998. From 1998 to 2000 he completed Dr Carlo Tinti’s postgraduate periodontal program, whichfocused on reconstruction of hard and soft tissue in conjunction with implant surgery. Tomaso Vercellotti MD, DDS

Tomaso Vercellotti, MD, DDS is the inventor of Piezosurgery and the developer of several piezoelectric surgical protocols, which have been published in numerous prestigious publications. Dr Vercellotti is Founder and International Chairman of the International Piezoelectric Bone Surgery Academy (IPA), Honorary Professor and Faculty at the University College of London Eastman Dental Institute, and Honorary Member of the Schluger-Ammons Study Club. He is an active member of numerous professional associations and the 2005 recipient of the Andi Award from the Italian Dental Association (AIO) for scientific and cultural merit. Univ.-Prof. i. R. Hans Pancherz †

Hans Pancherz, DDS, Odont. Dr. (PhD), received his dental and orthodontic education at the School of Dentistry, University of Lund in Malmö, Sweden. He became a certied specialist in Orthodontics in 1974. In 1976 he finished his PhD thesis on “Long-term effects of activator (Andresen appliance) treatment”. From 1975 to 1985 he was Associate Professor at the Orthodontic Department, University of Lund. In 1985 he was appointed Chair Professor at the University of Giessen, Germany, where he served from 1985 until 2005. Professor Pancherz has published 140 scientic articles, 72 of which deal with the Herbst appliance. He has been invited as lecturer at more than 200 national and international conferences all over the world and has received numerous awards and honors. At the Dental Faculty in Hong Kong, Professor Pancherz served as Honorary Professor in 1996 and 1997 and as Visiting Professor in 2007. He was Keith Godfrey Visiting Professor in Sydney in 1997. Furthermore, he acted as External Examiner for the Masters in Orthodontics in Hong-Kong in 1996 and 1997 and in Sydney in 1997 and 2006. Moreover, he is Editorial Board Member of several orthodontic journals. Professor Pancherz is particularly interested in clinical research, focusing on functional appliances and their effects on growth, electromyography of the masticatory muscles and long-term evaluation of dentofacial orthopedic interventions.

Wendy Jenkins, BSc, and MSc candidate, has worked extensively to merge the fields of nutrition and environmental science. She has done this primarily through her study of the interaction between diet, health and environmental sustainability. Her work has led her to the promotion of plant based foods in both an academic setting and through recipe development. Mason, DDS, MS, received his DDS and MS from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1981 and 1984, respectively, and has since managed a private practice specializing in periodontics and dental implants. Yair Sharav

Yair Sharav, DMD, MS, is a professor in the Department of Oral Medicine at The Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem. Dr Sharav is responsible for establishing the Orofacial Pain Clinic at Hadassah Medical Center in 1974—the first of its kind in Israel—and directing it as well as the Center for Pain Research at The Hebrew University for over 25 years. Yoh Sawatari DDS, FACS

Dr Yoh Sawatari is a Professor of Clinical Surgery and the Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami Program. He has over 16 years of facial trauma experience at a level one trauma center at one of the largest community hospitals in the country. ZTM Max Bosshart

Max Bosshart has been active in further education and training for over 40 years and is well known within professional circles. Max Bosshart was a collaborator of Professor Gerber for 10 years, assisted him with the only book published by A. Gerber (Temporomandibular Joint Disorders – Diagnostics and Therapy) and is extremely familiar with the methodology. Before that, as a young technician, Max Bosshart worked in various laboratories, preferably in western Switzerland, but there only as a ceramist. It was the call of the industry which brought him to removable dentures, which he practiced holistically as a prosthodontist with a clinic and laboratory until 2017. He used the experience gained in the clinic to critically assess his own technical work in the laboratory. In the 1980s, he developed the mb cuvette–born out of necessity–and has continued its development over the last few years. With this in mind, he also developed a new and patented posterior tooth which provides improved chewing stability. Courses and lectures took him to universities, clinics and laboratories through almost all countries in Europe, North and South America, China, Japan and the Middle East.

ZTM Siegbert Witkowski

Since 1988, Mr. Siegbert Witkowski has been working as Chief Dental Technician in the Department of Prosthodontics, University Hospital of Freiburg, School of Dentistry (Chair: Prof. Dr. B. Spies; Chair until 2016: Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. J.R. Strub). He earned his diploma in Dental Technology from an apprenticeship program in Hannover, Germany. He did postgraduate studies and gained work experience at the following institutions: University of London, Royal Dental Hospital (1983-1984); University of Zürich, School of Dentistry (1984-1986); University of Southern California, School of Dentistry (1986-1988). Mr. Witkowski was certified as a Dental Technician (CDT) by the National Board of Certification of Dental Laboratory Technology (USA) in 1986. In 1991, he earned the diploma of the German Master Dental Technician from the master school in Freiburg, Germany.

Mr. Witkowski was co-editor and -founder of the German journal „Implantologie” [Implantology] (1993-2000). For the monthly journal „Quintessenz der Zahntechnik” [Quintessence Dental Technology] also by Quintessence Publishing (Berlin, Germany) he was serving as editorial board member (1997-2000), vice editor-in-chief (2004-2006) before being appointed as editor-in-chief (2007). In 2001 he was editorial chairman of the „Internationale Zahntechnik Magazin” [International Dental Technology Magazine] published by Flohr Publ. (Rottweil, Germany). He co-authored several book chapters, a textbook for dental students “Curriculum Prothetik” (1. ed. 1994 – 5. ed. 2021), a book on implant prosthodontics „Enossale orale Implantologie aus prosthetischer Sicht“ [Endosseous implantology from the prosthodontic point of view], published in 1996 by Quintessence Publishing and numerous journal articles. In recent past, he co-authored a book on dental CAD/CAM technology together with Prof. Dr. W. Att (Tufts University, Bosten, USA) and Prof. Dr. J.R. Strub (Emeritus, Freiburg) titled “Digital Workflow in Reconstructive Dentistry” published by Quintessence Publishing (2019).

After my training in the laboratory Snay 1992, I search my path in dental technology. This I found 1996 Michael Heinz Polz and Stefan Schunke. After several years of training in the fields of aesthetics, function and milling in 2002 I did my master examination as an external at the Masters School in Nuremberg. Since 2009 I am a member of the Master Examination Committee Nuremberg. Since 2010 self-employed with my own laboratory in Fürth Germany. Since 2015 member of the oral design foundation.

ZTM Vincent Fehmer BDT, MDT

Vincent Fehmer, MDT, received his dental technical education and degree in Stuttgart, Germany, before completing fellowships in Great Britain and the United States in Oral Design–certified dental technical laboratories. After working several years in such a laboratory in Berlin, he received his MDT degree and became the chief dental technician at the Clinic for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2015, he has been a dental technician at the Clinic for Fixed Prosthodontics and Biomaterials in Geneva, Switzerland. He also runs his own laboratory in Lausanne. Mr Fehmer is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology, an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), and a member of the Oral Design group as well as the European Association of Dental Technology (EADT) and the German Society of Esthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ). He is a sought-after international speaker and has received many honors for his work, including the Kenneth Rudd Award from the American Prosthodontic Society. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals within the field of fixed prosthodontics and digital dental technology, contributed to many books, and recently coauthored the book Fixed Restorations: A Clinical Guide to the Selection of Materials and Fabrication Technology with Irena Sailer and Bjarni Pjetursson. Mr Fehmer also serves as Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, Section Editor for the International Journal of Prosthodontics, and co-chair for the 26th International Symposium on Ceramics (June 2023).

ZTM Volker Weber

Volker Weber, MDT graduated as Certified Dental Technician in 1987. From 1988 to 2009, he worked closely with the Department of Prosthodontics of RWTH Aachen University (Director: Professor Hubertus Spiekermann), especially in the field of oral implantology with special emphasis on the use of different implant systems. This cooperation intensified when he joined the Impladent dental laboratory at Aachen in 1992. In 1994 he passed the examination for Master Dental Technician in Cologne. Since 2005 he has been a consultant on implant-supported restorations for various institutions and has published articles on implant-supported superstructures. Since 2009 he has been continuing his cooperation with the Department of Prosthodontics, Oral Implantology and Biomaterials of RWTH Aachen University (Director: Professor Stefan Wolfart).
